However, you can create the list like the following: var list = List.filled (5, 0). If it is important to set a specific amount of bits, I will suggest you to create your own type which represent 128 bits of nodes. It's a list that has a fixed length and it can't be changed, but fixed-length list has to be declared explicitly. Growable list on the other hand doesn't need to be declared.
